It’s official, we are now a Recognized Program of the American Legion Department of Texas. This C&BL’s that has passed is a starting point. One that we can make our own. It follows National Resolution #5 which we all should be following anyways. You are still a post controlled program. Chapters need to go through this document, red line what you don’t like and WRITE IN YOUR SUGGESTED CHANGE. Changes made still must comply with Resolution #5. At the Fall DEC turn in your suggestions. The ALR Advisory Committee will collect all C&BL’s at that time. During the next few months the committee will compile your suggestions and put together a proposal for changes. At the Department Mid-Winter conference during the ALR meeting the ALR body present will discuss the changes and vote on a revised C&BL to summit to the DEC for approval at the next Pre-DEC which is at the Department Convention in 2027. NOTE: Chapters it is your choice to attend our meetings. But it is the only way to vote.
